HEALTH MINISTER PRAISED SMART PARTNERSHIP PROGRAMME
The Smart Partnership Programme organized by MLCC was well praised by YB Dato’ Seri Liow Tiong Lai, Health Minister of Malaysia, when he spoke at its opening ceremony on 6 April 2013 at Bukit Tinggi Chinese Primary School, Bukit Tinggi, Bentong. |

He said, “The programme, other than those objectives stated by the organizer, has many other functions, like promoting team spirit, friendship and goodwill among the participants made up of different races.” He added, “Learning an extra language, especially Mandarin, will enhance one’s capability in communication skills, improve one’s competitiveness and have a better advantage in the job market. However, you need many practical sessions like this programme, only then you can learn it effectively. ” | |
Professor Dr. Abd Jalil bin Borham, Dean of Centre for Modern Languages and Human Sciences, gave the welcoming speech at the ceremony. A total of 60 students participated in the programme which started from 5 April 2013 and ended on 7 April 2013. The closing ceremony was conducted by Dr. Aini binti Ahmad, Head of Programme of Foreign Language Department. Also present at the opening ceremony included Thum Veng Keng, Headmaster of Bukit Tinggi Chinese Primary School, Chong Ah Kow, MLCC Coordinator, Yong Ying Mei, Zhang Cuicui, Yuan Jie, Nornashua Farhani binti Abdul Ghaffar and members of Board of Governor of the school as well as committee members of Parents-Teachers Association |
