Mandarin Speaking Competition UMP Selection On 22 February 2014, MLCC and Mandarin Language Society organized a participant selection program to select the UMP representatives for the Inter Varsity Mandarin Speaking Competition 2014, which was held at Block W, Gambang campus, UMP. The Inter Varsity Mandarin Speaking Competition 2014, which will be held on 27 and 28 February 2014 at UMP. A total of 16 students took part in the selection. The participants were divided into three categories, namely Category A: Chinese participants, Category B: non-Chinese participants but have Chinese educational background, and Category C: non-Chinese participants and non-Chinese educational background. Mr Chong Ah Kow, Yong Ying Mei, Liu Xu, Yuan Jie, Peng An Qi and Kang Mei Feng formed the board of judges for the selection. The best performers of each category to represent UMP for the Inter Varsity Mandarin Speaking Competition 2014 are as follows:
