Thursday, 12 March 2015|Cheng Ching Yee Edited by:Faridah Hamzah Chinese Calligraphy Competition On 11 March 2015, a Chinese Calligraphy Competition was held in the Block W lobby by MLCC together with MLS. The competition had attracted around 140 participants who were eager to show their talent in Chinese calligraphy writing. The competition was divided into two categories, the Chinese students and non-Chinese students. A calligraphy master, Hor Chin Sim, was invited to give lectures to the participants about the skills of writing Chinese calligraphy. The 1st prize for the ‘Chinese Student’ and ‘Non-Chinese Student ’categories were won by Wo Cheak Ting and Ramizah Liyana bt Rosdiansah respectively. Ramizah claimed that she loved Mandarin Language since she studied in a Chinese primary school. The lecture given by Master Ho improved her skills in writing Chinese Calligraphy.
