Appreciation Luncheon
Monday, 8 June 2015|Chong Ah Kow Edited by: Appreciation Luncheon On 8 June 2015, Mandarin Languages & Culture Centre (MLCC) organised a lunch for volunteer teachers from Hanban, China, namely Chang Xiaobo, Cui Mengjie and Wang Xiaozhi. They have been teaching in MLCC since September 2014. The invited guests included YH Professor Dato’ Dr. Daing Nasir Ibrahim, Vice Chancellor of Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP), Associate Professor Dr. Muhammad Nubli bin Abdul Wahab, Dean of Centre for Modern Languages & Human Sciences (CMLHS), Dr. Aini binti Ahmad, Head of Foreign Language Programme, Puan Azlina binti Baharudin, Administrative Officer of CMLHS and Mr. Saharudin bin Ramli, former Administrative Officer of CMLHS MLCC associates, Chong Ah Kow, Yong Ying Mei, Kang Mei Feng and Nornashua Farhani Abdul Ghaffar were also present at the lunch. In his speech, YH Professor Dato’ Dr Daing Nasir Ibrahim expressed their gratitude on behalf of UMP to the volunteer teachers for their contributions towards UMP and MLCC in particular. He was then invited to give away the souvenirs to the three volunteer teachers, whose term of service will end by August 2015 for the current session. Chang Xiaobo, representing the three volunteer teachers, gave a speech and delivered their sincere appreciation to UMP’s management for giving them the chance to serve MLCC. |

Genting tour for Volunteer Teachers Associate Professor Dr. Muhammad Nubli bin Abdul Wahab took the opportunity to voice his satisfaction towards their performance and suggested MLCC to arrange a one-day tour to attractive sights of Pahang before they leave Malaysia. Therefore, on 10 June 2015, Yong Ying Mei and Nornashua Farhani Abdul Ghaffar delightedly accompanied the three volunteer teachers in a tour to Genting Highlands, one of the famous international attractions in Pahang. |
