China Confucian Scholarship Interview For UMP students

On 28 April 2016, Mandarin Language and Culture Centre (MLCC) invited Mr Chen Zhong, Panel of China Confucian Scholarship in Malaysia to organize interview session for UMP students. A total of 26 non-Chinese students attended the interview session at Centre For Modern Languages and Human Sciences (CMLHS). All these students had completed Mandarin for two semesters in UMP. They had sat for Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) and will be applying for the four weeks China Confucian Scholarship to study Mandarin and Chinese Culture in China.

During the interview session, UMP students showed their interest in learning Chinese calligraphy, Chinese painting and Chinese paper Cutting Arts. UMP students answered the questions in Mandarin during the interview session. According to Mr Chen Zhong, UMP is the first local university to apply China Confucian Scholarship among non-Chinese students. MLCC wished  the best to candidates .
