UMP Presenters Won Excellent Award in The 3rd Mandarin Singing Competition for Malaysia Undergraduate Students Four students represented Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) in “The 3rd Mandarin Singing Competition for Malaysia Undergraduate Students” at Kong Zi Institute, University of Malaya on 1stOctober 2016. The competitionwas organized by Kong Zi Institute, University of Malaya. Twenty four participants from nine institutes took part in the competition, namely University of Malaya (UM), University Putra Malaysia (UPM), University of Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Marine Engineering Technology (UniKL MIMET), University of Kuala Lumpur Business School, University Teknologi MARA (Kampus Jasin), University Teknologi MARA (Shah Alam & Puncak Alam Campus), University Teknologi MARA (Kedah Campus), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and University Malaysia Pahang (UMP). The competition had two categories, which were non-Chinese category and Chinese category. In non-Chinese category, Muhammad Ameen Bin Abdul Azis (CB14047), Ag Ku Afiq Ikhwan Bin Ag Jaafar (AA15164) won “Excellent Award” while Ramizah Liyana Binti Rosdiansah (CD14014) and Aniza Binti Anuar (SB16066) were given the consolation prizes. All participants were required to sing a Mandarin song. Ms Yong Ying Mei (Director MLCC), Mdm Kang Mei Feng and Mandarin language teachers were appointed as trainers for UMP candidates in this competition. MLCC participants managed to deliver the songs with excellent vocal, stage performance, lyric pronunciation and dress code to score the highest marks. Written by: Kang Mei Feng |
