Mandarin Certificate Awarding Ceremony
| 12 April 2017 – A certificate awarding ceremony was organized by the Mandarin Language and Culture Centre (MLCC) for its 147 participants who had successfully completed the Mandarin course in 2016. Amongst them were 16 Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad (ASNB) staff who completed the Conversational Mandarin for ASNB course which had been taken place from 3 August 2016 to 6 April 2017.
The ceremony was held at the CMLHS Mini Theatre, Gambang campus. Tuan Syed Mohamad Hamzah Al-Junid bin Syed Abdul Rahman, the Managing Director of UMP Holdings gave away the certificates to the ASNB staff via their representatives; Masthura Binti Che Ahmad Bahrudin and Norhayati Binti Ahmad. He also presented the certificate of Basic Chinese Proficiency to Farah Aqilah Binti Mustafa, Khairunisa Binti Che Hassan and Nurul Atirah Binti Yusri. These students have learned Mandarin since their first year and managed to accomplish Level 3 for proficiency. The Director of MLCC, Ms. Yong Ying Mei awarded 57 students for passing the Mandarin Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK Test) after completing the intermediate level last year. Tharushini A/P Thiagarajan was conferred with the Best Performance Award due to her astounding achievement and active involvement. In the welcoming speech, Ms. Yong praised and encouraged the participants to keep using the language even after having completed the course. Apart from that, she also expressed her appreciation over their persistent effort in completing their courses. Also present were the Mandarin language teachers; Ms. Cheng Ching Yee, Ms. Sun Yunfeng, Ms. Ju Meng, Ms. Shao Zhenglan, Ms. Zhang Weiqing along with Madam Nornashua Farhani Binti Abdul Ghaffar (Administrative Assistant).
