MLCC Staff Retreat and Farewell VLT 2017
| 3 - 4 July 2017 - Mandarin Language & Culture Centre (MLCC) had organised the MLCC staff retreat program at the world famous Pahang National Park or Taman Negara Pahang. The Director of MLCC, Ms Yong Ying Mei, language teachers from Centre for Modern Languages & Human Sciences (CMLHS), Mdm Kang Mei Feng, Ms Cheng Ching Yee, MLCC Administrative Assistant, Madam Nornashua Farhani Abdul Ghaffar and three volunteer teachers, Ju Meng, Shao Zhenglan and Zhang Weiqing from Hanban, China, attended the staff retreat program. The program also doubled as a farewell for the volunteer teachers as a way to thank them for their contributions towards MLCC.
The activities held at the national park include jungle trekking, where everyone experienced walking on the longest canopy walkway in the world, a boat trip along the Tahan River, and a visit to the visit aboriginal village to know more about the history of Orang Asli and were even invited to try their handmade “weapon”. The last activity conducted was visiting the night safari. All and all, everyone had a wonderful experience during the two-day event at Pahang national park.
