MLCC Received Newspaper Sponsorship for 8 Years

23 February 2018 – Mandarin Language and Culture Centre (MLCC) had organized a Newspaper Handover ceremony by receiving Sin Chew Daily newspaper for 2018 from its sponsor, Madam Andrea Loo, a resident manager of Mega View Hotel, Kuantan.
In her speech, Madam Andrea Loo encouraged students’ contribution to community in the future. She emphasized that the importance of education begins from reading and later advised the students to understand the current issue happening in the society and the country as well as the world through reading the newspaper.

The ceremony was officiated by Professor Dato’ Sri Ts. Dr. Daing Nasir Ibrahim (Vice Chancellor of Universiti Malaysia Pahang). In his speech, he praised MLCC ability to find the sponsor for newspaper for 8 years.
Ms. Yong Ying Mei (MLCC director) has expressed her gratitude earlier in the welcoming speech to Madam Andrea Loo for her generosity in sponsoring Sin Chew Daily newspaper for 2018. Apart from that, she also expressed her appreciation to Sin Chew Daily for the news writing about MLCC or UMP.
Professor Madya Dr Muhammad Nubli Bin Abdul Wahab (Dean of Centre for Modern Languages and Human Sciences) also witnessed the newspaper handover session during the ceremony.

Also present were Mr Tan Kee Seng (East Coast Area manager for Sin Chew Daily’s Education Programme), Mr Tan Kian Seng (East Coast Area Executive for Sin Chew Daily’s Education Programme), Madam Kang Mei Feng, Ms. Hooi Yan Yee, Mr. Tan Wai Chung, Ms. Cai Haixia, Ms. Deng Xingmei, Ms. Jin Yongxin, Ms. Wang Xuemei (Mandarin teachers) and Madam Nornashua Farhani Binti Abdul Ghaffar (Administrative Assistant).
