MLCC Promotes Mandarin Courses at the Ministry of Higher Education Carnival at UMP Gambang

Mandarin Language and Culture Centre (MLCC) had successully joined the Ministry of Higher Education Carnival 2018, East Coast Zone. The event was held at University Malaysia Pahang Gambang Campus, Kuantan, Pahang from the 3rd to 4th of March 2018. The idea to join the carnival was proposed by Ms Yong Ying Mei, Director of MLCC and Madam Nornashua Farhani Abdul Ghaffar, MLCC Administrative Assistant. The primary objective of joining the carnival was to promote the Mandarin courses offered by the MLCC. The MLCC booth was set up under the Department of Academic Management, Universiti Malaysia Pahang. Among the MLCC programs promoted during the carnival were Mandarin Short Courses, Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) Intensive Course and HSK Test. Realizing the importance of Mandarin as one of the most-spoken world languages, MLCC took the opportunity to expose the general public to the need of learning the language as a second language. MLCC aimed at attracting high school students and working individuals to enrol for the courses offered.
