Training of Trainers (ToT) for Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) Assessment

2-3 Mei 2018, Mandarin Language and Culture Centre (MLCC) OF Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) had organized a Training of Trainers (ToT) for Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) Assessment in Kolej Profesional MARA Indera Mahkota, Kuantan, Pahang. HSK known as Chinese Proficiency Test which is China's only standardized test to measure the proficiency level of non-native speakers of standard Chinese.

A total of 25 Mandarin Language lecturers from six Kolej Profesional MARA from all over Malaysia participated in this ToT. The training was conducted by Ms. Yong Ying Mei (Director of MLCC). The training introduced HSK syllabus, HSK format, HSK test design and techniques, Teaching Mandarin as a Foreign Language (TMFL) methods and etc.

Besides that, Ms. Yong also shared the secret of TMFL effectively to all Mandarin Language lecturers. Upon completing the ToT course, the trainees were hopeful that they could duplicate what has been done in UMP with KPM undergraduates and helped them to learn Mandarin effectively.
