MLS Virtual Learning

Pekan - 13 May 2018 Mandarin Language Society (MLS) of Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) had organised a program called Virtual Learning. This program was held at the Faculty of Manufacturing Engineering, DK 1, Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP), Pekan Campus.

The participants of the program were 19 non-Chinese students of UMP who had registered for the Mandarin elective course. This program was mainly organised for non-Chinese students to assist non-native Mandarin speakers on how to use Mandarin language for bargaining purposes and also learn the vocabulary that is used in daily life in a virtual environment. Some of the virtual environment prepared for the participants were virtual markets, airports and grocery stores. All the scenarios prepared for the students are directly related to the scenarios in the textbooks of UHF1111 Mandarin for Beginners and UHF2111 Mandarin for Intermediate students. The virtual learning activity is convenient for participants to practice after the Mandarin classes.
