UMP Student Won the Voice of Kong Zi
24 November 2018 - Khoo Zheng Hao (KB18276), a student from Chemical & Natural Resources Engineering Faculty (FKKSA) won the 1st place for Chinese category in Voice of Kong Zi, a Mandarin Singing Competition at Kong Zi Institute, University of Malaya. A total of five UMP students participated in this competition. After an intense online preliminary match, a total of twenty participants for non-Chinese category and twenty participants for Chinese category from UMP and other universities were selected to participate in the final round of the singing competition. They were given consolation prizes in the competition apart from the grand prize winner. The representatives were Khaleeqa Lylia Binti Kiflee (SB16020), Nur Khairiyah Hibatullah Binti Md Rosley (HA17026), Daniel Bin Jeffri (PA17047) (non-Chinese Category) and Liew Ping Wen (HA16018) and Khoo Zheng Hao (KB18276) (Chinese Category).The aim of the competition is to inspire non-Chinese students from Malaysian universities to learn Chinese and encourage them to learn the language through songs.By Nornashua Farhani Binti Abdul Ghaffar |
