CI Introduced UMP program in Mandarin at HELAN No. 1 High School

Ningxia, 24 April 2019 – The delegation of Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) paid an official visit to HELAN No.1 High School (HELAN) in Ningxia, China. The UMP delegation members consisted of Dato’ Sri Professor Dr. Daing Nasir Ibrahim (Vice Chancellor of UMP),

Professor Dr. Zulkafli Bin Hassan (Dean of Chemical Engineering & Natural Resources), Associate Professor Ts. Dr. Ruzaimi (Deputy Dean of Mechanical & Manufacturing), Dr. Gan Leong Ming (Deputy Director of CIReL) and Ms. Yong Ying Mei (Director of Confucius Institute UMP).

Ms. Yong Ying Mei (Director, Confucius Institute UMP) briefed the high schoolers, in Mandarin, about UMP and the programs offered by UMP. A total of 90 students attended the Workshop on Study Abroad in UMP. The Q&A session was a hit as it attracted the attention of students who wanted to know more about UMP and the programs offered.

UMP has previously signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with HELAN No.1 High School back in 2017. The UMP delegation, led by Vice-Chancellor Dato’ Sri Professor Dr. Daing Nasir Ibrahim, together with the Principal of HELAN, Mr. Wu Zhijian visited to the HELAN campus. A meeting was held to review the collaboration between UMP and HELAN about suitable programs to attract students to choose UMP. In addition, the Vice-Chancellor Dato’ Sri Professor Dr. Daing Nasir Ibrahim also suggested that UMP provide online IELTS training with dedicated HELAN high school students and English teachers

The delegation of UMP received a cordial reception by HELAN, namely from Mr. Wu Zhijian (Principal of HELAN), Mr. Yao Jin (Vice Principal of HELAN) and other staff.
