Chinese Bridge Competition Malaysia Region 2019

4 May 2019: 30 competitors from 11 universities took part in ‘Chinese Bridge Competition for Malaysia Region 2019’ that was held at Kong Zi Institute, University Malaya. The competition comprised of a series of test including public speech, Q&A session and Chinese art talent show. All candidates were required to give speeches about their experience in Chinese Culture besides sharing their story for the theme “One World One Family” in Mandarin.

5 representatives from Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) participated in this competition. They were Nur Khairiyah Hibatullah Binti Md Rosley (HA17026), Nur Syafiqah Binti Omar (MA18005), Prince Nevin Jay Prabu Ravindran (AA17199), Muhammad Afiq Bin Mohamad Rosli (AA17304) and Irma Khaleeda Binti Mohd Isa (AA17038).

In addition, UMP representatives also sang Chinese song in Chinese Art talent show. All representatives gave their outstanding performances and they were all presented with awards including consolation prizes.

Ms. Yong Ying Mei (Director of CI) appreciated every Mandarin teachers’ efforts and contributions in training and preparing UMP candidates for this competition.
