CI UMP invited International Speakers on Qixi Festival Workshop 2021

6 August 2021- Confucius Institute Universiti Malaysia Pahang (CI UMP) held Qixi Festival Workshop through DingTalk online application. A total of 30 UMP students had joined the workshop.

CI UMP invited Ass. Prof. Dr. Wang Haiyan (Senior Lecturer, College of International Exchange and Education, Hebei University) as a speaker of cultural talk for Qixi Festival. Ass. Prof. Dr. Wang Haiyan introduced the origin and customs of Qixi Festival through pictures and videos.

An online quiz of Qixi Festival has been organized for participants. The winners of the quiz awarded CI UMP Scholarship to join one course organized by CI UMP within one year. All participants also given e-certificate of participation and merit.

Ms. Yong Ying Mei (Director Malaysia, CI UMP) expressed that CI UMP plan a series cultural talk during Chinese festival and especially non-native students were exposed Chinese culture while they learn Mandarin.
