Confucius Institute Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (CI UMPSA) successfully organized the 2023 Delegation of Education Malaysia visit China

On September 19 to September 25, the 2023 Delegation of Education Malaysia visit China supported by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation, Ministry of Education China and jointly organized by the Confucius Institute Center of Hebei University (HBU) and the Confucius Institute UMPSA.
The 2023 Delegation of Education Malaysia visit China was led by Professor Dato' Ts. Dr. Yuserrie Bin Zainuddin (Vice Chancellor UMPSA). Members of the delegation included Mr. Ahmad Rizal Bin Adnan (Deputy Director General of Higher Education (Research and International), Department of Higher Education, Malaysia), Mr Jamalulail bin Abu Bakar (Director Human Capital Development Division of the Public Service Department (JPA), Malaysia), Madam Sharifah Fatzhiyah Binti Syed Ahmad (Chief Assistant Director of Sponsorship, Terengganu Foundation, Malaysia), Madam Faizah Nasriah binti Osman (Assistant Director of Administration Imtiaz, Terengganu Foundation, Malaysia) and Madam Yong Ying Mei (Director Confucius Institute at UMPSA).
The delegation received warm welcoming from Professor Dr. Shen Shigang (Vice President HBU) and top management of HBU. Both universities have a meeting of further collaboration program such as Dual Degree Program UMPSA-HBU.
The delegation attends the Closing Ceremony of Chinese Bridge Mandarin Camp and visited five students from Center for Mathematical Sciences, UMPSA involved in mobility program to College of Mathematics and Information Science, Hebei University (HBU).
Besides that, the delegation visited Ministry of Education of Hebei Province at Shijiazhuang, China. UMPSA and HBU signed Implementation Agreement for the Establishment of Confucius Institute UMPSA-HBU for the next five years in 2023-2027. UMPSA also signed MoU with Shijiazhuang Institute of Railway Technology, Hebei Software Institute and Hebei Petroleum University of Technology which have reached various cooperation consensuses. The MoU signing ceremony witness by Ministry of Education of Hebei Province and Mr. Ahmad Rizal Bin Adnan (Deputy Director General of Higher Education (Research and International).
In addition, the delegation also visited to Baoding Ying Li Group, which is a solar industry. UMPSA and Ying Li Group will cooperate to build green campus and collaborate in research.
A visit to the Malaysian Embassy in Beijing by the delegation and received by Mr. Muhammad Sallehuddin Bin Mohd Dilif (Counselor of Education Malaysia Beijing). UMPSA reported the collaboration between UMPSA with universities from China.
The delegation also visited to Center for Language Education and Cooperation, Ministry of Education China. All delegation experiences the traditional Chinese culture with technology.
A visit to Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU) received by Professor Dr. Yu Zujun (President BJTU) and management teams. Both universities achieved many achievements in collaboration between UMPSA and BJTU since year 2017. The delegation received the feedback of UMPSA students studied in BJTU for Dual Degree Programme. Then the delegations visit the campus of BJTU.
Moreover, the delegation invited to attend International Cultural Festival of BJTU. Professor Dato' Ts. Dr. Yuserrie Bin Zainuddin (Vice Chancellor UMPSA) invited to give a speech in Malay and translated by Madam Yong Ying Mei (Director Confucius Institute at UMPSA) in the opening ceremony. UMPSA students performed Malay dance and Silat and they were prepared foods of Malaysia at the booth. The delegation also visited dual degree students UMPSA at BJTU and walk around to booths included booth Malaysia.
The delegation visited to Xiongan New Area and Great Wall during visit China. The Xiongan New Area is a smart city and the delegation look around some technology namely smart vehicles, solar wireless charging chair and others.
The visit to China enhances the cooperation in education between UMPSA with universities China and understand Chinese culture. Its further strengthen the relations between Malaysia and China.
Also present were staff UMPSA, included Professor Dr. Mohd Zuki Bin Salleh (Dean, Center for Mathematical Sciences), Professor Dr. Mahadzir Bin Ishak @ Muhammad (Dean, Faculty of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering Technology), Associate Professor Ir. Dr Fadzil Bin Mat Yahaya (Dean, Faculty of Civil Engineering Technology), Associate Professor Dr. Hamdan Bin Daniyal (Dean, Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology), Associate Professor Ts. Dr Mohd Ruzaimi Bin Mat Rejab (Director, Centre for Strategic Academic Collaboration) and Mr. Mohd Ferdaus bin Musa (Executive, Office of the Vice-Chancellor).
