UMP Presenters Won Excellent Award in The 2nd Mandarin Singing Competition for Malaysia undergraduate students
Monday, 5 October 2015|Yong Ying Mei Edited by: Mohd Shafeirul Zaman Bin Abd Majid UMP Presenters Won Excellent Award in The 2nd Mandarin Singing Competition for Malaysia undergraduate students On 3 Oct 2015, five students had represented Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) in “The 2nd Mandarin Singing Competition for Malaysia Undergraduate students” at Kong Zi Institute, University of Malaya. The 2nd Mandarin Singing Competition for Malaysia undergraduate students was organized by Kong Zi Institute, University of Malaya. There are 58 candidates from 9 institutes took part in took part in the competition, namely University of Malaya (UM), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), University Teknologi MARA (UiTM), University Putra Malaysia (UPM), University Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (UPNM), University of Kuala Lumpur (UNIKL), Malaysia Institute of IT and University Malaysia Pahang (UMP). The competition has two categories, which is non-Chinese category and Chinese category. In non-Chinese category, Easther George Kiluk (TC12012) won “Excellent Award” and another three students, Vanessa Alberto (KB14007), Muhammad Qaiyyim bin Muhammad Haniff (CB14057) and Muhammad Nazri Bin Mahayani (KC12035) were given away the consolation prizes. Both students, Seow Seat Lian (SC14023) and Kong Yee Tong (TD14004) were given away the consolation prizes in Chinese category. All candidates were required to sing a Mandarin song. MLCC presenters managed to deliver them with excellent vocal, stage performance, lyric pronunciation and dress code to score the highest marks. Ms Yong Ying Mei was appointed as the trainer for UMP candidates in this competition.Also present during the competition was Ms Cheng Ching Yee, Mandarin language teacher. |
