Kong Zi Institute, Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) Site Visit

On 22 December 2016, a delegation of Hebei University (HBU) came all the way from China for a visit to the proposed site of Kong Zi Institute in Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP). The delegates, Professor Ren Deliang (Vice President, HBU), Professor Zhao Jie (Dean of Electronic Information Engineering College, HBU) and Associate Professor Liang Weige (Deputy Director of Confucius Institute Office, HBU), were greeted with a cordial reception by the UMP top management at a dinner gathering the evening before. During the site visit, the HBU delegation was chaperoned by Associate Professor Dr Muhammad Nubli Bin Abdul Wahab (Dean of Centre for Modern Languages and Human Sciences), Ms Yong Ying Mei (MLCC Director), Madam Kang Mei Feng (Mandarin Language teacher), Ms. Sun Yunfeng (Volunteer Language teacher) and Madam Nornashua Farhani Binti Abdul Ghaffar (Assistant Administrative officer). Other than that, they also paid a visit to the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering labs. Before parting, a meeting was held to discuss on potential collaborations between the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of UMP and the Electronic Information Engineering College of HBU.
