2021 Chinese Bridge Competition UMP Preliminary

28 May 2021 – Confucius Institute Universiti Malaysia Pahang (CI UMP) held 2021 Chinese Bridge Competition UMP Preliminary through Google Meet. There were 22 students of UMP with difference races such as Malays, Indians, Ibans and Sikh participated for this competition.

In opening speech, Professor Dr. Guo Fuliang (Director China of CI UMP) praised that UMP student’s show enthusiasm in learning Mandarin although they were busy in online learning due to pandemic. He wished the competition successfully and the students achieved excellent results.

The judges are Ms. Yong Ying Mei (Director Malaysia of CI UMP), Professor Dr.Guo Fuliang (Director China of CI UMP), Madam Kang Mei Feng, Ms. Cheng Ching Yee and Ms. Nur Fazilah Binti Mohd Yani (language teachers from Centre for Modern Languages).

The speech title of the competition is “One World, One Family”. Each participant was given 2 minutes to present their speech. Winners of the competition were Syahirah Syazwani Binti Shamsudin (CA19140), Adelia Febriani Binti Zaid (CA20079), Panita A/P Prepan (CD20122), Muhammad Hasraf Aikal Bin Khairul Ihsan (MH20036) and Khazimah Damia Binti Rosfauwizamzamar (PA19076). They will represent UMP participate in 20th Chinese Bridge-Chinese Proficiency Competition 2021 for Foreign University and College School Student Malaysia Preliminary on July 2021.

Ms. Yong Ying Mei (Director of Malaysia CI UMP) appreciated all volunteer language teachers for their efforts and contributions in training and preparing participants for this competition.
