Conversational Mandarin 1
1. COURSE SINOPSIS
The course is intended for general public who wish to learn to speak Mandarin for everyday conversation purposes. Course contents include Basic Chinese Phonetics (Hanyu Pinyin System), pronunciation, basic sentence structures and selected texts for listening and conversational practice. The participants will learn through interesting classroom activities, modules, interactive learning software.
2. COURSE OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- i.use appropriate social greeting and introduce oneself;
- ii.talk about one’s family;
- iii.talk about one’s daily activities in selected situation;
- iv.state the date and the days of the week;

4. PROSPECTIVE PARTICIPANTS
Any person who has the interest in learning to speak Mandarin at the beginning level.
5. PROPOSED VENUE:
MLCC/CMLHS MULTIMEDIA LABS (Negotiable)
6. CERTIFICATE:
Candidates who have successfully completing the course will be awarded Conversational Mandarin 1 Certificate by MLCC.
7. FEES :
RM300/per student/per level
Fees stated are calculated based on a minimum of 10 students per class and inclusive of modules and registration cost.
Class can be conducted outside UMP campus with extra charges on transportation and cost of venue.
(RM3000/per level for 1 on 1 tutorial class)
