UMP Promote Academy Programme in China International Fair for Trade in Services 2020

8 September 2020 – Centre for Marketing and Academic Admission with collaboration Confucius Institute (CI) Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) had participated at China International Fair for Trade in Services 2020 (CIFTIS) to promote UMP.  

Ms. Yong Ying Mei (Director Malaysia CI UMP) invited as the host introduce UMP and academy program UMP in live via CIFTIS app. The live education promotion continues with interview international student. They were Cheng Tong (MH19051), Du Boyuan (MH19047), Liu Ziyue (MH16061) and Li Maoqi (MMA18005). They shared about participated in Preparatory Intensive English course, campus life, undergraduate study life and postgraduate research study.

Furthermore, three China staff sharing their working experience in UMP. They were Prof. Dr. Guo Fuliang (Director China CI UMP), Dr Wang Bin (Visiting Prof., Faculty of Civil Engineering Technology UMP) and Dr Bao Chao (Visiting Ass. Prof. Faculty of Civil Engineering Technology UMP). Besides that, Fatin Zahirah Binti Mansur (Administration Executive CI UMP) also shared her experience in work together with China staff in UMP.

Collaboration Meeting between UMP and Hebei University

10 September 2020 - Centre for Strategic Academic with Confucius Institute (CI) Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) held an online collaboration meeting with Hebei University (HBU), China.

The meeting was held to discuss on potential collaborations between College Engineering and Faculty of Manufacturing and Mechatronic Engineering Technology from UMP, while representative of HBU namely College of Electronic Information Engineering and College of Civil Engineering and Architecture. Ms Yong Ying Mei (Director Malaysia CI UMP), Professor Dr Guo Fuliang (Director China CI UMP), Associate Prof. Ir. Dr. Chin Sim Yee (Director, Centre for Strategic Academic Collaboration) involved in the meeting.

Also present were Associate Prof. Dr. Ngien Su Kong (Head of Department, Department of Civil Engineering, College Engineering), Dr. Asrul Adam (Head of Programme, Faculty of Manufacturing and Mechatronic Engineering Technology, College Engineering Technology), Dr. Lim Kar Sing (Coordinator of Mobility Programme, Department of Civil Engineering, College Engineering) and etc.

Besides that, representative from Hebei University were Prof. Dr. Zhang Xin (Vice Dean, College of Electronic Information Engineering), Ass. Prof. Dr. Xiao Jinzhuang (Head of Department of Automation, College of Electronic Information Engineering), Ass. Prof. Dr. Wu Xingzheng (College of Civil Engineering and Architecture), Prof. Dr Xing Huibin (Vice Director of International Cooperation Office).
