BIG TURN-OUT AT OPENING CEREMONY OF THE CHINESE CULTURE EXHIBITION The opening ceremony of the Chinese Culture Exhibition on 20.2.2013, which was officiated by YH Professor Dato’ Dr. Daing Nasir Ibrahim, Vice Chancellor, attracted a big crowd of students and staff of UMP, as well as students and teachers of Sekolah Berasrama Penuh Integrasi Kuantan. In his opening speech, Dato’ VC commented that the exhibition was timely as it was held during the lunar New Year period. He expressed his confidence in MLCC’s future development as China is becoming one of the new economic power of the world and extended his invitation to organizations and government agencies to cooperate with MLCC in any related aspect of its functions. The Chinese Culture Exhibition, which was held from 19.2.2013 to 1.3.2013 at UMP Gambang, was organized by MLCC in conjunction with the Lunar New Year 2013. Contents of the exhibition included Spring Festival, Chinese Zodiacs, Chinese Paper-Cuts, New Year Scroll Writing and Making of Chinese Dumpling. VIP guests that attended the ceremony comprised of Dato’ Seri Li Jin Xian, Chairman of Chinese Cultural Society Pahang, Dato’ Alex Teh Boon Sing, Executive Chairman of Nilaitek Sdn. Bhd., Professor Abd. Jalil bin Borham, Dean of Centre of Modern Languages and Human Sciences, Haji Mustafa bin Ibrahim, Registrar of UMP, Mr. Zainudin bin Othman, Treasurer of UMP, Miss Chan Wei Chi, Assistant Director of Pahang Education Department, Mr. Tan Kee Seng, Area Manager of Sin Chew Daily, Chong Ah Kow, Coordinator of MLCC. |
