UMP participated in Malaysia-China Higher Education Promotion

7 July 2020-Centre for Marketing and Academic Admission with collaboration Confucius Institute (CI) to promote Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) on Malaysia Higher Education Virtual Fair organized by Malaysian Embassy in Beijing (Beijing Education) with collaboration Beijing Overseas Study Service Association.

Both Directors of CI UMP Ms. Yong Ying Mei and Professor Dr. Guo Fuliang were invited to present in Mandarin about the university’s background, outstanding qualities, requirement of application and explain respective processes. In the Q& A session, both directors CI UMP patiently meticulously answered the questions proposed by agencies from China.
Mr Helmi Bin Mohamed Isa (Director, Centre for Marketing and Academic Admission) express UMP welcome undergraduate and postgraduate from China to further their study in Malaysia.

This is first and largest of Higher Education Malaysia-China virtual fair. The programme was starting from 6th July 2020 until 8th July 2020. The event was involved 17 public institutions and private sectors of higher education in Malaysia and 90 education agencies from China. The purpose of the event is to encourage more students from China studying in Malaysia.
According to Raja Datuk Nurshirwan Zainal Abidin, Malaysia Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to People’s Republic of China, through this virtual fair education, the recruitment of China students into Malaysian universities will be contributing factor in strengthening Malaysia-China relationship.

Besides that, the experience to study in Malaysia will contribute to increased understanding and appreciation of the bilateral relations between Malaysia and China as well as the relationship between the people of both countries. He hopes that through this event, Malaysian education institutions will be able to increase their profile in the highly competitive international student market in China.
