2020 Online Chinese Proficiency Competition

24 July 2020 -Confucius Institute (CI) Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) held Online Chinese Proficiency Competition via kahoot. Due to pandemic Covid-19, the competition was held through Google Meet application. The competition is divided into two groups were HSK 1 and HSK 2. There are more than 110 students of UMP participated in the competition.

The purpose of the competition is to provide opportunities to students to practice Mandarin and know their Chinese proficiency level. It’s also as one of revision methods for participants to review the Mandarin course to score good results in the upcoming final test. At the same time, the competition also exposes the Chinese proficiency test format to students.

The questions for the competition are prepared by the volunteer language teachers of CI UMP based on the students' Chinese proficiency level and combined with the HSK standard test questions. The question was given on the Kahoot platform. The participants answered questions within a limited time through match the sentences with pictures, match the dialogues, fill in words, and true or false questions. All participants joyful and challenging in this program.
