02 January 2021-In the beginning of year 2021, opening ceremony of 2021 Online Mandarin & Cultural Programme of Hebei University organized by Confucius Institute Center, Hebei University (HBU) and co-organizer by Confucius Institute Universiti Malaysia Pahang (CI UMP).

A total of 76 students selected from Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) and Kolej Profesional MARA awarded China scholarship and participated 2021 Online Mandarin & Cultural Programme of Hebei University for three weeks from 2 January 2021 to 17 January 2021 on every Saturday and Sunday.
Professor Dr. Meng Qingyu (Vice President, HBU) wishes happy new year to everyone in the beginning of opening ceremony. He hopes all participants take effort to learn Mandarin well via online and welcome staffs and students visit to Hebei University after pandemic of Covid-19.

In addition, Professor. Ts. Dr. Mohd Rosli Bin Hainin (Deputy Vice Chancellor, UMP) had been invited to give a speech. He praised that scholarship programme change to online platform as the new norm on Covid-19 pandemics and it is benefit to large numbers of Malaysian students continue learning Mandarin.

Both directors CI UMP, namely Ms. Yong Ying Mei (Director Malaysia, CI UMP) and Prof. Dr. Guo Fuliang (Director China, CI UMP) had been invited to Opening Ceremony for 2020 Online Mandarin & Cultural Programme of Hebei University via DingTalk.
The online Mandarin program contains course two category which is Chinese characters course and Chinese culture, namely Chinese keyboard learning, Chinese cuisine, Chinese festival and etc. Each class sessions taught by academic staffs from College of International Exchange and Education, Hebei University, namely Associate Professor Dr. Wang Haiyan and Mr. Yin Guanru.
