MLCC Delegation Paid an Official Visit to Institute of Kong Zi, University of Malaya
On 4 January 2016, delegation of Mandarin Language and Culture Centre had officially visited Institute of Kong Zi, University of Malaya. The main purpose of the visit is to comprehend the steps of establishing Institute of Kong Zi, University of Malaya with the aim to transform MLCC to be the same.
MLCC delegates included Mr Chong Ah Kow, Ms Yong Ying Mei, Madam Kang Mei Feng, Ms Cheng Ching Yee, Mr Wang Xiao Zhi, Ms Ju Meng, Ms Sun Yun Feng and Ms Wang Wen Ying (all are Mandarin language teachers). They were warmly welcomed by Mr Chen Zhong, Director of Institute of Kong Zi (China), Profesor Datuk Dr Azarae Bin Haji Idris, Director of Institute of Kong Zi (Malaysia), Madam Li Rui, Head of Academic, Madam Du Hong Mei, Head of HSK Test and Ms Zhao Wan Zhen, Head of Students Activities in Institute of Kong Zi, University of Malaya.
In the interactive dialogue between MLCC with Institute of Kong Zi, University of Malaya, several important issues had been discussed such as Mandarin program, teaching materials and students’ activities. In addition, the potential of collaboration with Institute of Kong Zi, University of Malaya such as in the field of research, conference, high impact students’ activities and others are also highlighted. The limelight of the visit is when Mr Chen Zhong, Director of Institute of Kong Zi (China) had expressed his thought to recommend UMP students who are excellent in HSK Test to apply for China scholarship in the future.
